Tatem Travels: Part 1, WPPI
We're back! It was an amaaaaazing month long trip but we're super excited to be back in action at the studio and looking forward to sharing our adventures! Starting with the last leg of our trip: WPPI. It was our first year attending the Wedding & Portrait Professionals International conference in Las Vegas and had an awesome experience meeting industry pros, learning new tips and tricks, and finding ways to better optimise our workflow for 2016. I spent a day working with the amazing Ana Brandt exclusively shooting newborns and some mamas-to-be. It was perfect timing for all our adorable March babies (seriously, what happened nine months ago? I think we missed the memo!). I'm just loving the flowing TAOPAN maternity gowns - raise your hand if you're up for a glam maternity session!?
Mark took a masterclass on posing two brides and two grooms, and then the fab Thea Dodds expanded that two hour segment into a practical session - and kindly allowed me to join the class. We had a fantastic time with real-life couple and super star models A & N - who had actually volunteered their time to work with Thea's class last year as well. While the issue of same sex marriage is still a very hot topic in Bermuda with many varying opinions, our personal belief is that love is love - and are super thankful for the opportunity to have gained a broader experience from this course. A & N - you two are amazing, it couldn't have been easy taking rapid fire direction from at least 10 photographers at once!
Stay tuned for Whistler & Japan adventures!
